Family Happenings

There were many adventures this summer, here are just a few of the recent activities. Macy and Trent entered the Severy Labor Days Fishing Derby. Trent started off very serious!

However, Trent did not catch a single fish while at the Severy Lake. Macy was the fisher woman that morning. This was the only fish caught by the Haag family and it weighed a whole 6 oz. Great job Macy!!!!

With no success at catching fish, Trent became highly fascinated with minnows.

After the Derby we had another fishing trip to the Lampson pond. We had a great time and the kids caught fish as soon as their hook hit the water. Chris and Zoe ended up having a fishing contest, and Zoe proudly beat Chris. You can also see the proud and happy faces of Macy and Trent while catching fish.

This weekend was the Elk County River Festival. The theme was "All things old are new again", something like that. It made for a neat parade. I loved seeing all of the old cars. Trent would of loved it too, but he insisted on staying home with daddy to do football things. Macy was able to get her picture by this car.
This picture is a great example of the River Fest theme. I thought it was neat seeing the different fire engines.

Macy was asked by Kayla Harrod to ride along in the parade. She was so excited to be able to throw out candy and wave. Not to mention riding in a yellow mustang, whooo hoooo! She also was able to get a free soda and a $1 for being in the parade. This was a neat experience.

On the courthouse lawn Macy and I enjoyed taking arm length shots. Aren't we georgous?

Last, Macy was able to participate in the Little Miss River Fest Pageant. Sadly she didn't win, but she was able to get a free ice cream cone and she loved playing dress up for a day. Afterall she is a little princess!
